J.P. Morgan Personal Investing is seeking a Front End Software Engineer to develop and maintain web applications powering Nutmeg. You will own end-to-end feature delivery within a cross-functional team of engineering and product professionals, contributing to a scalable React-based stack and an internal React Design System. This on-site role in London offers a collaborative environment with pairing sessions, code reviews, and opportunities to contribute to user-friendly experiences for our customers. Responsibilities include delivering product features as part of domain-owned epic initiatives, troubleshooting defects, ensuring high-quality code through testing and best practices, participating in scrum ceremonies, creating technical documentation, and focusing on accessibility, security, performance, and observability. Required qualifications include a strong track record of building customer-centric web applications, excellent communication, and proficiency in React and web fundamentals (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript ES6). Experience with Git, Docker, browser dev tools, and modern build tools (Webpack, Vite, Parcel) is expected. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, knowledge of GraphQL, Node.js, Kubernetes, AWS, design systems, and experience in finance industry. Note: Some roles may require enhanced pre-hire screening.
