Data Engineer (m/f/x) – Saint Julian's, Malta – On-site Tipico, Germany’s leading sports betting provider, is seeking a Data Engineer to join the strategic data team. You will build and maintain both batch (ELT) and real-time data pipelines and architectures, assemble large and complex data sets, and implement internal process improvements for scalability and efficiency. You will work with SQL and AWS big data technologies to extract, load, and transform data from diverse sources. The tools you build will provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other key business performance metrics, helping us stay ahead in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with data architects, executives, product, data, and IT teams from project inception to delivery. Qualifications: - 3 years of relevant work experience - Cloud data services (AWS: S3, Athena, EC2, EMR, AWS Batch, Lambda) - Large-scale production databases and SQL; experience with Redshift or Snowflake; data modeling - ELT development with DBT and Airflow - Governance and data quality concepts; data catalog tools - Big data technologies: NiFi, Kafka, Python, Spark, Hudi - Docker/Kubernetes familiarity - Strong analytical skills, collaboration, and fast learning
