Two Six Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer with hands-on experience in Terraform to design, implement, and manage infrastructure across our cloud environments. This on-site role is based in Herndon, Virginia, United States and focuses on automating infrastructure provisioning to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.
What you will do: - Design, build, and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform - Migrate existing CloudFormation code to Terraform - Develop reusable Terraform modules and maintain version-controlled infrastructure - Work with DevOps, Security, and Engineering teams to implement CI/CD and deployment strategies
What you will need: - Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience - 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or DevOps - Strong proficiency with Terraform (writing modules, managing state, workspaces, etc.) - Hands-on experience with AWS cloud provider - Experience with DevOps tools and utilities including GitHub, Ansible and CDK - Ability to work effectively in a Linux-based development environment - Familiarity with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) - Strong knowledge of networking, security, and IAM in the cloud - Proficient in at least one scripting language
Nice to have: - Terraform SME - Experience with multiple cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, OCI, or GCP - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools - Hands-on experience with Python - Knowledge of containeriza
