BIP – xTech is seeking a Remote-based Azure DevOps Engineer based in Madrid, Spain, to design and govern pipelines and guardrails for AI-generated applications. This role focuses on security, compliance, and fast, reliable delivery in a modern, AI-driven environment.

What you will do:

The AI era is accelerating coding practices. Tools like GitHub Copilot or Claude Code enable rapid application generation, and there must be safeguards to ensure what reaches production is secure, compliant, and properly deployed. You will be responsible for building guardrails that prevent non-compliant code from entering production while preserving the speed benefits of AI.

What we need from you:

- At least 3 years of experience with Azure DevOps, with emphasis on: - Designing and maintaining multi-stage YAML pipelines: reusable templates, mandatory extends templates, variables and variable groups, and CI/CD pipelines for applications and infrastructure. - Configuring and administering Azure DevOps: organizations, projects, repositories, agent pools (Microsoft-hosted and self-hosted), service connections and governance. - Managing permissions and security: groups, roles, inheritance of permissions, principle of least privilege, protecting service connections and secrets. - Branch policies and quality controls: branch policies, mandatory pull requests, required reviewers, build validation and status checks. - Environments, approvals and checks: manual approvals, gates, business hours, required templates and pre-deploy checks. - DevSecOps: integrating security into the pipeline
