FVCBank is seeking an Assistant Controller to assist the Controller in directing the bank's accounting functions. The Assistant Controller will manage the bank's accounting operations, participate in the monthly close, coordinate financial reporting, and ensure that daily, monthly, and quarterly tasks are completed. This role will develop and maintain strong working relationships with the Accounting staff and other departments, and support the Chief Financial Officer on special projects. Essential duties include: managing accounts payable, fixed assets, and accrual processing; resolving general ledger differences in a timely manner; assisting with the monthly close, including variance analysis and consolidation of entities; reviewing daily and monthly reconciliations and subsidiary ledgers; training and developing accounting staff; preparing financial statements, disclosures, and analyses for SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, and insider reporting); reviewing regulatory reports (Call Report, FR2900, QCR, SPDA); providing technical support on disclosure issues to ensure proper application of SEC, GAAP, and federal banking rules; completing disclosure checklists to ensure compliance; participating in the implementation of new systems; proposing and implementing process improvements for internal and external reporting; reviewing, updating, and monitoring internal controls and attestation requirements; assisting in external and internal audit data collection, documentation, and reviews; assisting in treasury management functions; preparing ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
