The Assistant Community Manager supports the Property Manager in overseeing daily operations, maintaining physical assets, and ensuring financial performance. The role focuses on achieving high occupancy, maximizing market rents, and delivering resident satisfaction through leasing, marketing, and administrative activities. Responsibilities include lease administration, rent collection, move-in/move-out processing, and maintaining accurate resident records using property management software such as Yardi Voyager or RentCafe. The ideal candidate has at least four years of multifamily property management experience, at least one year in an assistant management role, proficiency with Yardi and RentCafe, and strong customer service, organizational, and communication skills. Affordable housing experience is preferred; reliable transportation is required. The position requires leadership to mentor and motivate a team, coordinate with vendors, conduct property inspections, market vacant units, and drive marketing and leasing plans to enhance performance. Duties also include enforcing lease policies, handling delinquencies, and, if needed, representing the organization as an agent for the owner in court-related matters.
