Strategy, a Nasdaq-listed leader in enterprise analytics and AI software, is seeking an Application Security Engineer to join its IT Security team in Tysons Corner, Virginia. This full-time, on-site role focuses on safeguarding Strategy's software applications by deploying AI-powered security tooling and embedding security practices throughout the software development lifecycle. Responsibilities include AI security governance for the use of AI coding assistants, secure SDLC integration with threat modeling and secure code reviews, vulnerability management (SAST/DAST/SCA), security assessments and penetration testing, and secure code analysis using AI-assisted tools. You will also perform threat modeling, risk analysis, DevSecOps enablement, incident response, and security training for developers. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; at least 2 years of software development or security experience in an agile environment; hands-on experience with SAST, DAST, IAST, and SCA tools; proficiency in Python, Java, or JavaScript; knowledge of OWASP, NIST, and cloud security best practices (AWS/Azure/GCP); familiarity with AI/LLM-specific security risks; and strong collaboration and communication skills. The salary range is $83,100 to $149,500, with eligibility for bonuses, equity, and benefits. Strategy is an equal opportunity employer.
