KIRA is seeking an Android software engineer to build the native Android experience for the AI Finance Agent. This role is remote, based in Sweden, and focuses on delivering clean user flows, high performance, and reliable mobile features used by real customers. Responsibilities include: building and shipping Android features using Kotlin; creating smooth mobile flows for insurance, payments, claims, renewals and financial services; collaborating with product and design to simplify complex user journeys; integrating backend APIs and ensuring mobile flows are stable, secure and reliable; improving app performance, crash rate, loading states, responsiveness and memory usage; using analytics, user behavior data and production issues to improve the product; and developing AI-assisted mobile experiences where they genuinely improve the user journey. Requirements include 3+ years of Android development experience with Kotlin; strong Android fundamentals and production-app experience; proficiency with Jetpack, Coroutines, Flow and modern Android architecture; strong mobile UX sense and attention to edge cases and user flows; experience integrating REST APIs and debugging production issues; fast execution, high ownership and commitment to product quality. Nice-to-have items include links to apps, GitHub repositories, screenshots or examples of shipped work. Tech stack includes Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Android SDK, Coroutines & Flow, SQL/NoSQL, TensorFlow Lite (on-device inference). Location: remote; candidates must be based in Sweden.
