You will drive the evolution of database architecture and platform strategy, build self-service automation for deployment and operation, and establish observability through monitoring, tracing, and logging. You will act as a technical leader during production events, drive rapid mitigation, perform root-cause analysis, and support a cross-regional follow-the-sun model. You will collaborate with engineering teams, cloud providers, and database technology partners, and you will apply Infrastructure as Code and automation tools (Terraform, Chef, Ansible). Qualifications include 7+ years of experience operating highly available database platforms at scale, hands-on experience with MongoDB, Cassandra, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Percona XtraDB Cluster, or MariaDB Galera Cluster, experience with AWS and/or Azure, familiarity with managed services such as RDS, DynamoDB, Cosmos DB, and MongoDB Atlas, expertise in distributed systems, performance engineering, data modeling, and scripting in Python or similar. A background in Kubernetes and Docker is a plus.
