Primus Aerospace is seeking a CNC Lathe Production Team Lead to manage daily CNC lathe operations at our Lakewood, Colorado facility. This role leads a machinist team, provides setup support and tooling guidance, coordinates with programming and operations, and ensures production is completed on schedule, within cost, and to quality standards. The Team Lead will set up machines, verify drawings and programs, and train and coach operators while driving continuous improvement, Lean manufacturing, 5S, and safety compliance. Key responsibilities include overseeing production performance, managing standard work, monitoring cycle times and scrap rates, maintaining ISO documentation, and handling shipping/receiving in collaboration with other departments. The candidate will also troubleshoot programs, support hiring and performance management, and participate in daily shift handoffs with effective communication across shop floor, office, and vendor staff. First shift is Monday–Thursday, 6:00 am–4:30 pm.

Must-haves: High school diploma or GED with 5+ years of machining experience; ability to set up CNC lathes; knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing, print reading, mathematics, and manufacturing processes; Proficiency with MS Office (Excel in particular); strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills; ability to delegate, detail-oriented, and capable of problem solving; proven leadership and accountability experience; familiarity with performance metrics; ability to make decisions and perform well under pressure.
