Hybrid Business Analyst position with the New York City Department of Finance (Finance Information Technology Division). FIT designs, builds, and supports all aspects of DOF’s computer systems, including hardware, software, applications, infrastructure, data security, and websites used for citywide payments, land records, property assessment, parking adjudications, and customer service. The Business Analyst will be a key member of a multidisciplinary project team, leading business analysis across complex technology initiatives and ensuring that stakeholder objectives are translated into actionable deliverables. Responsibilities include eliciting and documenting functional and nonfunctional requirements, analyzing current-state processes, and developing detailed specifications, business rules, swim lane diagrams, user stories, wireframes, and mockups. Additional tasks include facilitating workshops, maintaining product roadmaps, serving as a liaison between business and technical teams, collaborating with customer engagement and QA teams, monitoring progress, prioritizing features, and ensuring deliverables meet acceptance criteria. The role also involves shaping roll-out strategies, creating end-user documentation, mentoring junior analysts, and staying current with industry trends.
