About the role
ChapsVision is a European leader in Big Data and Artificial Intelligence, with international presence and a strong focus on sovereign, secure data solutions. We are looking for a Junior DevOps Engineer apprentice to join our R&D team in Paris, France. You will contribute to designing, automating, and stabilizing our infrastructure while developing internal tools. An interest in data and language models (LLMs) is a plus as the team supports AI workloads.
Responsibilities
Profile: Nice to have:
- Contribute to the development of internal tools and services (CLI, APIs, automation) in TypeScript or C++
- Manage and evolve our Kubernetes infrastructure (deployments, Helm charts, operators)
- Write and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi or equivalent)
- Improve CI/CD pipelines
- Monitor, observability, and reliability of systems (logs, metrics, alerting)
- Host and deploy LLM/AI workloads (inference, data pipelines)
- Participate in on-call/support based on skill development
- Document procedures and best practices for Ops
- 3rd to 5th year IT education (Bac+3 to Bac+5), in progress
- Proficient in at least one language: TypeScript or C++
- Strong interest in data and LLMs
- Linux, TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, basic security
- First experience with Kubernetes and/or IaC is a plus
- Curiosity, autonomy, eagerness to learn, deep systems understanding
- Technical English
- Docker / containerization
- Git, GitHub/GitLab, CI/CD (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, ArgoCD)
- Scripting (Bash, Python)
- Cloud concepts (AWS, GCP or Azure)
- Experience with LLM frameworks (LangChain, vect
