About the role
Data Engineer (m/f/d) for a dynamic, fast-growing e-commerce service agency in Berlin, Germany. This role focuses on designing and operating modern data platforms to enable analyses, reporting, and data-driven decisions across the organization.
Responsibilities
Develop and operate modern data platforms on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric, ensuring high-quality data is reliably available for analyses, reporting, and machine-learning applications. Build and continuously evolve data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and/or Azure Synapse; ideally experience with Microsoft Fabric. Ensure data quality, completeness, reproducibility, and implement efficient incremental data loading processes. Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes and API-based data integrations. Build robust monitoring, logging, and error-handling concepts; optimize performance, cost, and data workflows. Contribute to building a scalable data architecture including test, staging, and production environments, using modern technologies such as CI/CD, Fabric Pipelines, dbt, or Airflow. Collaborate closely with the Head of Data & Analytics and Data Analysts to provide high-quality data for Power BI dashboards and ML models. Qualifications: 3–5 years of professional experience building and operating data pipelines or data platforms; senior-level preferred, motivated mid-level profiles also welcome.
