IDnow, a leader in digital identity and fraud prevention in Europe, seeks a Staff DevOps Engineer to join its Rennes-based platform team. This role offers true technical ownership of the platform as we migrate from on-premises infrastructure to AWS, including driving architecture decisions, mentoring peers, and leading critical projects. You will be a senior technical voice, working closely with the Engineering Manager and cross-functional stakeholders to shape the future of our platform infrastructure. Key responsibilities include: owning epics and setting technical direction; leading the migration to AWS with continuity and resilience; championing infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and platform reliability; serving as a go-to expert for complex challenges; designing, building, and maintaining Kubernetes-based infrastructure across cloud and on-prem; managing the on-prem virtualization platform (Proxmox/Ceph) while shifting workloads to AWS; developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code using Terraform (AWS) and Ansible (on-prem); managing networking components and security configurations; ensuring platform security through TLS management and Vault in collaboration with Security; participating in on-call rotations (roughly every 6 weeks); responding to and resolving production incidents; improving observability, monitoring, and alerting across the platform.
