Outside Sales Representative - Electrical Distribution / Construction

Wesco is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to develop new prospects and manage assigned customers to grow sales and margins for the company's products and services. The role emphasizes face-to-face selling and account management to meet revenue targets. You will engage with customers at all levels, including technical, operations, supply chain, and senior management. You may develop and deliver sales bids, presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations.

Responsibilities

Assess customer needs and propose products, services, and solutions to support a smooth sales process.
Execute and expand assigned account plans developed in collaboration with management.
Drive margin initiatives through value-added services, marketing programs, and supplier engagement.
Prospect new customers, including cold calling and lead development through referrals.
Communicate with customers to identify needs and suggest appropriate products and services.
Demonstrate product functions and value based on customer requirements.
Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; address post-sale issues.
Maintain contact with existing and former customers, informing them of new products, services, and enhancements.
Use sales management tools for planning, supplier coordination, and documenting opportunities.
Build product knowledge through Wesco and supplier training.
Develop strong relationships with suppliers, including regular joint sales calls.
