Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing and reviewing all accounting activities for the designated region. This role indirectly supervises one to three staff accountants and requires reviewing their work to ensure accuracy. Key responsibilities include managing revenue contracts, maintaining up-to-date regional contract summaries, ensuring all contracts and amendments are billed correctly and reported accurately, and evaluating contracts quarterly for proper accounting under ASC 606 and ASC 842. The role also includes accounting reviews such as facilitating budget-to-actual meetings between Business Development and Accounting, reviewing terminal month-end inventory statements, analyzing variances, and ensuring appropriate charges per customer contracts. Additional duties include reviewing monthly revenue reports for variances, monitoring outstanding receivables, preparing monthly journal entries for revenues, COGS, and variable expenses in accordance with GAAP, and researching issues with terminal managers, business development, vendors, and customers.
