Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger reconciliation, month-end close, and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency while providing timely insights to support management decision-making.

What you will do: - Oversee and process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and on time. - Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements, reports, and forecasts for management review. - Lead month-end and year-end close processes, reconcile accounts, and resolve discrepancies. - Evaluate accounting issues and prepare non-recurring journal entries. - Analyze data related to key performance indicators and risk metrics, providing valuable business insights. - Collaborate on budget preparation, forecasting, risk assessment, and compliance reporting (including GST filings and Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance regulatory reporting), as well as fulfilling ad hoc reporting needs. - Prepare Financial Discussion and Analysis (FD&A) reports for presentation to Senior Management and the Board. - Establish and document accounting controls through the development of policies and procedures, ensuring transparency and efficiency. - Uphold compliance with accounting standards and regulations, safeguarding integrity and reliability. - Lead and support various special projects as needed, leveraging expertise and teamwork to achieve obje
