Wesco's Project Manager II will oversee multiple medium-to-large electrical construction projects in Spokane, Washington, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Responsibilities include defining project scope and deliverables with senior management, developing full-scale project plans and communications, and informing team members and stakeholders—including sales, customers, suppliers, and vendors—of project expectations. The role involves liaising with customers, contractors, engineers, suppliers, and key vendors to maintain strong relationships, estimating resources as needed, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. The incumbent will align activities with safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives, perform root-cause analyses, and drive corrective actions. They will draft and monitor budgets, manage scope changes, track milestones and documentation using project management software, and develop progress reports, proposals, requirements documents, and financial updates. The position may delegate tasks, negotiate staffing with other department managers, and determine the need for additional staff or consultants during the project cycle. Qualifications include an associate’s degree (bachelor’s preferred) in Construction Management, Business, or related field; 3 years of direct project management experience (5 years preferred) in large-scale projects within electrical distribution or construction; strong planning, resource allocation, communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
