The Controller is responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the hotel's accounting department, including the preparation of monthly financial statements, budgeting, and cash forecasting.

Ensure timely and accurate month-end close, preparation of financial statements, budgeting, and cash forecasting for the property.
Oversee daily bank deposits, house banks and petty cash, verify postings and night audit reports, process credit card transfers, accounts payable and accounts receivable, and inventory control.
Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures; provide training to management on accounting processes.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and applicable laws; implement policies and procedures in alignment with best practices.
Manage local tax compliance including correct charging, collection, and filing of taxes.
Identify, develop, and report on key financial and operational performance measures.
Proactively analyze operations to improve efficiency and profitability while supporting a sales and guest service culture.
Manage the general ledger and reconciliations including bank statements and intercompany accounts.
Collaborate with the Corporate Accounting Team to implement or improve the accounting process; assist in the annual budget process.
Safeguard contracts and agreements; adjust responsibilities as business needs evolve.
