Hightower, a wealth management firm founded in 2008 and based in Chicago with advisors across the United States, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join the revenue accounting team within the Controllership organization. What You Will Do: - Prepare detailed monthly bank reconciliations in Oracle. - Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations with attention to accuracy. - Assist with revenue reconciliations and support advisor billing, fee calculations, and related reporting. - Support month-end close activities and ensure deliverables are completed on schedule. - Review general ledger transactions to streamline month-end close and ensure information is complete. - Independently resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities. - Identify trends, opportunities, and risks; recommend actions to improve financial performance. - Analyze actual results across multiple reporting segments and explain variances to plan and prior year. - Support annual audits and respond to inquiries in a timely and accurate manner. - Propose improvements to internal controls to mitigate risks and maintain compliance. - Help streamline financial processes and cross-functional collaboration to ensure accurate data and revenue reporting.
