Join Marks & Spencer (M&S) on the Platform team as a Staff Software Engineer within the Customer Data Platform. Our mission is to streamline development for 1000+ engineers and 30+ applications, spanning both customer-facing and colleague-facing systems. You will own the end-to-end delivery of complex features, design and implement solutions that align with the current architecture, and lead technical initiatives within your team. You will write well-tested, maintainable code, drive quality through PR reviews, and collaborate closely with Product and Design to deliver meaningful customer outcomes. You will also mentor other engineers, participate in on-call rotations to support reliability and performance, and contribute to team OKRs and roadmap planning. The tech stack includes front-end React/Next.js with TypeScript; back-end Java with Node.js, GraphQL, REST APIs; cloud and infrastructure tooling such as Azure Kubernetes Service; observability with Dynatrace and PagerDuty; testing with JUnit, Jest, Playwright; security tools like Snyk and SonarCloud; and analytics/experimentation tools like Optimizely and Adobe.
