About the role

Eurofins is seeking a temporary Automation Engineer / Automation Specialist (m/f/d) at its site in Jena, Germany to support the ramp-up of automated production and laboratory modules. In this interim role you will be closely involved with the plant, assist commissioning, stabilize ongoing operations, and help resolve technical issues pragmatically and quickly. The focus is on hands-on implementation, troubleshooting, and close collaboration with on-site teams as well as external suppliers. The ideal candidate has a mid level technical profile, enjoys hands-on work, and can maintain oversight during ramp-up even where processes are not yet fully stable.

Responsibilities

Qualifications:

Support commissioning, ramp-up, and stabilization of automated line and system modules.
Analyze and fix technical faults during the ongoing build and start-up.
Perform hands-on troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, and automation topics.
accompany tests, adjustments, and optimizations of automated production and laboratory processes.
Work closely with internal teams from lab, production, engineering, and maintenance.
Coordinate technical topics with external suppliers and assist in tracking open items.
Help improve availability, process stability, quality, and throughput of automated modules.
Document key technical findings, actions, and open points in a traceable and pragmatic manner.
Experience in automation, mechatronics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, production technology or similar technical environment.
