Sopra Steria, a leading European consulting and software development company, is looking for a Cloud Engineer with DevOps experience to join the Cloud Center of Excellence in Madrid. The role is hybrid and based in Madrid, Spain, with a permanent, full-time contract.
What we look for: minimum four years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, DevOps, or similar in production environments. Hands-on experience with at least two hyperscalers, AWS as the primary, including compute, networking (VPC/VNet), storage, IAM, load balancing, and managed services. Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible). Automation of CI/CD (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins) and version control with Git. Containers and orchestration: Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/AKS/GKE); advanced Kubernetes administration. Scripting in Bash and/or Python for operational automation. Certification: at least one associate-level hyperscaler certification (preferably AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate); alternatively Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104) or Google Associate Cloud Engineer.
