UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a Financial Analyst I to join the Finance team in Dallas, Texas. Under general supervision, the incumbent provides skilled financial analysis for the department, performs less complex analyses, and develops forecast models. Responsibilities include preparing monthly financial management reports, reviewing reports for errors and inconsistencies, analyzing variances between forecast and actual performance, identifying reasons for variance, and presenting recommendations to management. Additional duties include assisting with monthly and annual financial reports to government agencies, ensuring conformance with applicable procedures and regulations of the University of Texas System and Federal and State agencies. The role also involves identifying areas of poor performance, maintaining internal controls, preparing financial models and analyses, and supporting special projects. Qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; experience: no experience required.
