Sales Manager (m/f/d) – Maritime Industry
Hoppe Marine GmbH is seeking a Sales Manager to progressively assume the role as part of a leadership transition. This position includes an approximately two-year onboarding and training phase to build the knowledge required for future responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Profile:
- Lead strategic and operational business development in the assigned sales regions (UK, Northern Europe, and Eastern Europe).
- Expand existing customer relationships and win new customers and projects.
- Manage relations with shipping lines, shipyards, system integrators, and distribution partners.
- Develop and implement regional sales strategies in coordination with local sales agents and partners.
- Conduct contractual, pricing, and technical negotiations.
- Represent the company at trade fairs, conferences, and customer events.
- Manage the order intake budget and achieve defined revenue and growth targets in the region.
- Collaborate closely with Sales Engineering, Product Management, Service, and Project Execution teams.
- Several years of successful sales experience in a technical B2B environment.
- Experience in the maritime industry is required or highly preferred.
- Technical understanding of ship systems, automation, measurement, or control technology.
- Experience in international business and in project sales.
- Ideally an established network with shipping lines, shipyards, and maritime decision-makers.
