Catawiki is seeking a Data Scientist focused on machine learning to join its Data Team in Lisbon, Portugal. Our Data Team covers the full data spectrum, including machine learning, analytics and data engineering, and works closely with product and development to create value for customers. In this role you will build production-ready machine learning models and data products that power the product offering, write robust, scalable code, and apply advanced statistics to tackle real-world business problems. You will explore our extensive mobile and web data to identify opportunities and deploy scalable models on cloud infrastructure using Kubernetes, delivering real-time, asynchronous and batch predictions. You will work with cross-disciplinary teams—product owners, developers, UX designers, and business analysts—to identify improvements and new ML use cases, and you will communicate your models effectively to non-technical stakeholders. The position is based in Lisbon and follows a hybrid model with two days per week in the office. What you will bring: 3+ years as a data scientist; fluency in Python and SQL; experience deploying ML models in production handling real-time responses at scale; strong quantitative background; ability to discuss ML concepts with non-technical audiences.
