Experian is seeking a Lead Data Platform Engineer to join the Ascend Cloud Foundation Platform team on a 12-month fixed-term contract in Nottingham. This hybrid role requires 40% in the office. You will lead an Agile technical team, build data pipelines and data lakes, and deliver high-quality software while collaborating with risk, security and compliance teams to meet GDPR, PCI DSS and other data privacy and security standards. You will own the codebase and application ownership, contribute to technology roadmaps, and ensure SOLID coding practices. Key qualifications include strong DevOps and IaC tooling (Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, Harness), extensive experience with Apache Spark/Hadoop, AWS cloud services (Glue, S3, Step Functions), data pipeline and data lake design, and experience with development lifecycle tools (Bitbucket, Jira). Proficiency in Scala or Python, configuration as code, API integration, automated testing, and familiarity with AWS services such as Lambda, EventBridge, SQS and Lake Formation are required.
