Join Talan, an international consulting group, as a Java Developer on an on-call rotation in Spain. You will develop and maintain Java-based microservices using Spring Boot, design event-driven solutions with Apache Kafka, and build scalable backend services. You will work with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MongoDB; participate in software design discussions; and create automated tests using TDD and/or BDD within an Agile (Scrum) environment. The role requires at least four years of software development experience, four years of hands-on Kafka experience, strong Java 8+ skills, Spring Boot microservices experience, knowledge of functional programming and JPA, and English at B2 level or higher. Nice-to-have items include Reactive Programming knowledge and OpenAPI 3.
