Eeze is seeking a Java Architect to build a high-throughput, real-time gaming platform from the ground up. You will design, implement, and maintain Java services for large-scale, low-latency operations, and collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend/frontend engineers to translate requirements into robust solutions. You will develop and optimize data streaming for real-time player interactions, identify bottlenecks, and drive performance improvements across distributed microservices and cloud-based architectures. You will write and maintain unit tests, participate in code reviews, and mentor junior engineers. You will lead the competence team in developing high-quality, scalable React and Java applications for our iGaming platform. You should stay current with industry trends and apply best practices. The role is hybrid, based in Bucharest, Romania, with 2 days in the office and 3 days remote. Requirements include: 5+ years of Core Java experience, strong Java knowledge with the Spring framework, REST, AWS, WebSocket, and Java concurrency patterns; solid understanding of distributed systems and microservices; database design for high throughput and low latency; Linux experience; knowledge of CI/CD (e.g., Jenkins); excellent problem solving and communication skills; and a track record of building highly available, high-throughput services.
