Arcotech, the technology arm of Arco Educação, is hiring a Software Engineer II – Front End to join our engineering team in Hamburg, Germany, with remote work options. We build modern, scalable frontend applications that integrate with a microservices architecture, with our frontend primarily using React and, at times, Vue or similar frameworks. Our applications run in a robust cloud environment (AWS and GCP) and communicate with distributed services. The most important qualities are a solid software engineering foundation, frontend development experience, a focus on code quality, testing, and best practices, and a desire to learn and evolve in modern, scalable architectures. You will design and develop high-impact frontend solutions, translate business and product requirements into technical designs, promote development standards, maintain technical documentation, and work in a collaborative, data-driven environment with code reviews and pair programming. Requirements include frontend development experience; strong fundamentals in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript; solid knowledge of at least one framework (prefer React or Vue); strong computing fundamentals; understanding of web accessibility; familiarity with automated testing (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress); teamwork and openness to feedback, and a proactive use of AI to assist work.
