Google is seeking a Staff AI/ML Software Engineer to architect and scale the next-generation AI/ML infrastructure that powers YouTube Ads Creative Foundational Infrastructure. The role is onsite in Mountain View, California, United States. As a technical leader, you will architect scalable infrastructure and high-throughput AI/ML pipelines, drive the design of creative data engines, generation and rendering pipelines, and agentic orchestration frameworks. You will design and optimize distributed systems to manage GenAI and heavy media processing workloads, build and mature experiment and learning infrastructure to accelerate model training and deployment, and partner with Product Management, Research, and leadership to align capabilities with long-term goals. You will mentor and guide engineers at various levels. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience; 8+ years of software development experience; 5+ years of testing and launching software products; 5+ years building large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, or related compute/storage/hardware experience; 3+ years of software design/architecture experience; Experience designing or deploying ML infrastructure or platforms.
