Freeport-McMoRan is seeking an on-site Reliability Engineer I to support Morenci operations, an open-pit copper mining complex located approximately 50 miles northeast of Safford, Arizona. The role focuses on root cause analysis of equipment failures, identifying and implementing corrective actions, and ensuring continuous production. Responsibilities include analyzing CMMS data for equipment health indicators, preparing KPI reports, evaluating existing processes and equipment, and recommending improvements. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline; working knowledge of MS Office; and a strong understanding of good engineering practices, safety, legality, and quality. Preferred qualifications include reliability engineering experience through internships, co-ops, or industry roles; knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance; familiarity with CMMS systems (SAP); and experience with vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, or other condition monitoring technologies. The position offers a base pay range of $75,000-$104,000 per year, plus benefits and potential incentive pay. On-site employees may be eligible for a $750 monthly housing allowance.
