Accountant
Overview: The Accountant supports the organization’s financial operations with accuracy, integrity, and compliance across accounting functions. The role manages general ledger activities, oversees accounts payable, and contributes to monthly close and financial reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and collaborative, capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
Qualifications:
- Prepare and post general ledger journal entries timely and accurately.
- Lead accounts payable processes, ensure efficient handling of transactions and purchase orders, and identify workflow improvements.
- Collaborate with the finance team to prepare and review monthly financial reports for program monitoring and ensuring compliance with standards.
- Support monthly close activities for assigned programs, including reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Maintain internal controls and accounting systems to ensure data integrity.
- Ensure compliance with organizational and finance policies.
- Associate degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred), or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Experience in a high-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel; familiarity with accounting software preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
- Monday–Friday onsite schedule, 35 hours per week.
