Voyager Technologies is seeking an Engineering Manager, Chemicals to lead a team of chemical engineers across process design, pilot demonstration, production scale-up, and automation for chemical and energetic materials manufacturing within the Voyager Energetics Engineering department. The role is based onsite in Penrose, Colorado, and will transition to the Pueblo, Colorado location. Responsibilities include leading and mentoring a team through development, design, fabrication, commissioning, and LRIP, driving engineering strategy and resource allocation to meet performance, cost, schedule, and quality objectives for chemical R&D and manufacturing operations, and overseeing the development and approval of engineering deliverables while implementing processes, best practices, and continuous improvement to ensure technical excellence and compliance with internal and government standards. The role also involves representing the engineering organization in reviews and developing talent through coaching and growth opportunities, with a culture of safety and accountability. Basic qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of hands-on chemical engineering experience, or a Master's with 3+ years, or 9+ years in lieu of a degree; 15+ years of hands-on chemical synthesis and pilot plant experience; 5+ years leading technically complex projects in regulated or defense environments; 5+ years leading and supervising chemical engineering teams of 5+ engineers.
