Key responsibilities include: - Maintain the general ledger and prepare monthly journal entries (accruals, prepaid expenses, depreciation, and allocations). - Reconcile bank, credit card, and investment accounts; oversee accounts payable and receivable. - Monitor cash flow, prepare cash flow projections, and maintain the chart of accounts. - Ensure GAAP nonprofit accounting compliance and proper donor fund accounting. - Prepare monthly financial statements and budgets; assist in annual operating and capital budgeting; generate reports for leadership and Board committees. - Track restricted and unrestricted funds; prepare grant funder reports and assist with grant budgets. - Coordinate year‑end audits, IRS Form 990 filings, and other regulatory requirements. - Administer QuickBooks and other accounting software; support cross‑functional budgeting and program sustainability. - Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards.
