QA Engineer is sought for a remote-first position in the Netherlands to help ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of fintech products used in complex payment ecosystems. You will work within cross-functional product teams to take ownership of testing activities across the software development lifecycle, combining hands-on manual testing with API validation, exploratory testing, and continuous process improvement in a collaborative, remote-friendly environment. Responsibilities include designing, executing, and maintaining testing strategies for functional, UI, API, integration, regression, and exploratory testing; validating web applications across browsers and devices; testing API endpoints, authentication flows, payload validation, error handling, and third-party integrations; coordinating with engineers, product managers, and designers to define quality expectations early and promote shift-left testing; creating reusable test cases, clear defect reports, and comprehensive QA documentation; reviewing and improving test coverage, regression processes, and QA methodologies; contributing to the ongoing enhancement of QA tools, workflows, and best practices while fostering a culture of quality. Requirements include a minimum of 3 years of experience in manual and semi-automated testing of web-based applications, at least 2 years of hands-on API testing (including authentication and payload validation), and proven experience with payment platforms or financial software.
