In this role you will design and build the data platform to support data ingestion, processing, storage, and delivery at scale, enabling our internal customers to discover and analyze data for various use cases. Responsibilities include architecting, developing, and managing data pipelines; collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data needs; and ensuring data quality, governance, and accessibility. Technologies you will work with include Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataform, etc.), SQLMesh, Terraform / Terramate, GitHub Actions, Python, and SQL; Looker for BI. Requirements: 2+ years in data engineering, strong understanding of data ingestion, transformation, modeling, and software engineering practices applied to data pipelines; experience with data governance and metadata management; proficiency in Python, SQL, and Terraform (HCL); extensive experience with a public cloud provider (ideally GCP) and familiarity with its data services; experience with BI tools and integrating them into modern data architectures; strong English communication; German a plus. Bonus points for IoT data and streaming (GCP Dataflow, Apache Beam, Apache Flink), prior scale-up experience, and interest in climate tech.
