About the role
Louisiana Cat is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to join our team. This on-site role is based in Norfolk, Virginia, United States, and will cover the Lafayette, Louisiana territory. The successful candidate will drive outside sales of CAT equipment management solutions to customers in the defined territory, combining a hunter mentality with consultative selling to provide product information and close deals.

- Travel predominantly within the assigned territory to pursue, build, maximize, and close sales.
- Become a subject matter expert on customer financing, licensing policies, warranty registrations, and invoicing.
- Collaborate with Sales Management and the General Manager to establish monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
- Attain sales targets by maximizing customer loyalty and repeat business.
- Provide detailed sales reports, continuous improvement recommendations, and customer invoices to Louisiana Cat management.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Sales or related field.
- Strong technical, mechanical, and business aptitude.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- 2-3 years outside product sales experience (highly preferred).
- Knowledge of CRM software such as Salesforce.com (highly preferred).
- Knowledge of Caterpillar product lines and heavy equipment industry is strongly desired.
- The majority of this position will be spent traveling the assigned territory.
