About the role
Guidehouse is seeking a Software Developer (Java / ETL) to design, develop, and maintain enterprise data ingestion pipelines, onboarding workflows, and API-based data services using Java and ETL platforms (e.g., Informatica). This on-site role is based in McLean, Virginia.
Responsibilities
Qualifications:
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise data ingestion pipelines, onboarding workflows, and API-based data services to support standardized data intake into the Data Platform.
- Implement intake and onboarding solutions covering discovery, requirements analysis, source system profiling, technical design, aligned to SLAs and governance.
- Modernize legacy ingestion pipelines with AWS and Databricks lakehouse architecture, supporting batch and near real-time ingestion for enterprise data services.
- Develop and expose API-based data services for secure data exchange across enterprise systems, analytics platforms, and downstream consumers.
- Build production-ready ingestion pipelines and onboarding frameworks with logging, auditing, error handling, and reliability for production deployments.
- Implement robust logging, monitoring, and auditing to support traceability and incident response.
- Collaborate with cloud engineering and platform operations to integrate pipelines with AWS services (S3, IAM, networking) and ensure secure connectivity.
- Contribute to governance by incorporating data classification, access control, and lineage updates as part of onboarding and ingestion processes.
- Bachelor's degree.
- 7+ years in application and data engineering, with hands-on
