GM Defense is seeking a highly motivated Program Manager to lead the Suburban Shield armored vehicle program from Warren, Michigan. This hybrid role requires reporting to the Global Technical Center in Warren at least three days per week, with occasional on-site work at supplier facilities and the possibility of reporting to a supplier location up to four days per week. The Program Manager is the single-point owner for cost, schedule, technical performance, and customer satisfaction and leads a cross-functional team to deliver GM Defense objectives. Responsibilities include owning the program baseline (scope, schedule, cost, and risk); approving changes and mitigation plans; representing the program in executive reviews; serving as the primary interface with the government and customer for Suburban Shield; coaching and developing Assistant Program Managers and Program Coordinators; overseeing current contract execution; coordinating with Business Creation and Product Development for future proposals; executing awarded contracts to meet customer requirements and maximize GM Defense profitability; managing program imperatives such as schedule, performance, cost, resources, risk, and gap closure; leading the Program Execution Team and setting priorities, success metrics, and governance; proactively identifying issues and risks and driving resolution; communicating through standalone presentations and meetings with senior leaders and cross-functional teams; developing materials for internal gate reviews and external leadership reviews; integrating supporting processes; driving
