The role may be filled as an individual contributor or include people management responsibilities. Core responsibilities include designing scalable solutions, setting standards for codebase health, aligning work with strategic outcomes, and mentoring others. You will collaborate daily with engineers and product teams, influence roadmaps, and coach others in estimation practices. The role requires a leader who can manage ambiguity, coordinate across the company, and deliver high-impact results. Requirements: 10+ years of backend development experience, deep Go expertise, PostgreSQL, AWS, and Infrastructure as Code (Pulumi or Terraform); experience with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines; and a track record of high-quality backend design. Nice-to-haves: frontend experience (e.g., React Native) and AI tooling experience. This is a full-time position with a hybrid work arrangement (People Before Place) based in Atlanta, United States, with minimal travel. The role offers a minimum base compensation of $170,000.
