The Principal Software Engineer will design and develop software initiatives for electric power system analysis, visualization, and optimization of electric utility data to support energy management and decarbonization and the integration of renewable energy. Responsibilities include designing high-quality software architectures, writing scalable code, collaborating with cross-functional teams, mentoring junior developers, and exploring new technologies to advance enterprise applications. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; 6–15 years of software development experience; proficiency in Rust, C/C++, Python, and JavaScript/TypeScript; and preferred experience in mathematics, ML, JSON/XML/DB/SQL, Kubernetes, graphics/UI development, and power industry knowledge.
