LightFeather is seeking a Google Cloud Platform Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The role focuses on infrastructure automation, cloud security, networking, and CI/CD pipeline development, and requires collaboration with software engineers, security personnel, and government stakeholders to support development and deployment workflows in a high-security government environment. This is an in-person, on-site position in Washington, DC. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a Top Secret-level security clearance due to federal contract requirements. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and managing secure cloud infrastructure on GCP; building and maintaining infrastructure-as-code with Terraform, Deployment Manager, or similar tools; supporting CI/CD automation; monitoring performance and ensuring SLAs; and ensuring compliance with federal security standards (FedRAMP, NIST). Qualifications include 4+ years of cloud engineering experience with at least 2 years on GCP; hands-on experience with Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, VPC, IAM, GKE, and BigQuery; experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Deployment Manager; experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Cloud Build; strong Linux, networking, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes); and Agile/Scrum experience.
